Obama leaves Tanzania, ends Africa tour

US President Barack Obama left Tanzania Tuesday at the end of a three-nation Africa tour aimed at boosting trade ties but overshadowed by the ill health of anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
A Tanzanian guard of honour saluted and marching bands played farewell music before Obama and his family took off from the economic capital Dar es Salaam, heading back home to the United States.
