The following are the top ten universities in China to obtain a degree in agriculture.
 Agricultural University of Hebei

The Agricultural University of Hebei is a key university in Hebei Province. Located in the cities of Baoding, Qinhuangdao, Huanghua and Dingzhou, it was founded in 1902. Currently, it has become a multi-disciplinary university, focusing on agronomy and forestry, as well as incorporating fields of agriculture, industry, basic sciences, economics, management, literature, law and iatrology.

Yangzhou University is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. Located in Yangzhou City, it was established in 1992 as the result of a merger of six colleges, but its history can be traced back as far as 1902. Located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, it was originally established in 1898 by Governor-General of the Huguang region Zhang Zhidong. Additionally, the school has also become an important base for training senior agricultural personnel and developing agricultural science and technology.

Located in the Beijing Municipality, it was formed in 1995 through the merger of Beijing Agricultural University and Beijing Agricultural Engineering University, whereas its history can in fact be traced back to 1905 when the College of Agriculture was founded in the Jingshi Da Xuetang. The school specializes in agriculture, biology, engineering, veterinary medicine, economics, management, humanities and social sciences.
