Purpose
1        To strengthen capacity to farmers on appropriate agricultural and rural development activities through trainings, and extension services sustainably.






2        To provide entrepreneurship skills and other livelihood alternatives so as to increase farmers income generating activities.





3        To partner with government, local/international universities/research institutions and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) dealing with developmental issues to support rural transformation.


4        To promote gender mainstreaming for realization of equity in agriculture and environmental conservation.








5        To involve young people in agriculture and provide them with peer education for future betterment and inspired generation.

Activities:
Purpose 1:
        i.            Baseline survey for training need assessment (TNA) ---PRA
         ii.            Organizational development
       iii.            Development of demonstration farms
       iv.            Provision of extension service
         v.            Seminar training on sustainable agricultural practices
       vi.            Sustainable seed project
     vii.            Animal husbandry






Purpose 2:
        i.            Training needs assessment (TNA) foe entrepreneur skills and livelihood alternatives.


      ii.            Providing seminar training to farmers group and youth for entrepreneurship skills and other livelihood alternative

    iii.            Tour visit to successful entrepreneur by the clients to learn more and have influence on  entrepreneurship



 Purpose 3:
        i.            Meeting with non- governmental organizations
      ii.            Meeting with government officials from ward level to district level
    iii.            Preparation of the base line survey on how other NGO’s, CBO’s and government on the way their operate in supporting rural development (that will help TAFE with the best mechanisms and practices for rural development initiatives and strategies.

                              ii.            Seminar training to farmers groups and young people (youth) on gender and development issues.
                            iii.            Environmental conservation training and practices on Sustainable Land Management methodologies.
